Why Pre-Booking Your Tickets Really Matters

We know life gets busy. Plans change, weekends fill up, and sometimes you just want to see how you feel on the day. But if you’re thinking about coming to a show at Front Room, we’d love it if you could pre-book your ticket. Here’s why it makes a huge difference to us and to the artists we work with.

At Front Room, we operate on a 70/30 ticket split with our visiting companies – 70% goes directly to the performers, 30% to us. That means your ticket money isn’t just a night out – it’s an act of support. Most artists still aren’t paid fairly for their work, and some even end up performing for free. We think that’s not okay.

So, we make a promise: if the ticket split doesn’t cover the minimum industry rate for the artists, we top it up. That’s how committed we are to fair pay for artists.

Your ticket also helps us keep Front Room running. That 30% share allows us to:

• Bring brilliant touring shows to Weston-super-Mare
• Offer residencies and commissions to local artists
• Create new performances in-house for you to enjoy
• Keep delivering community outreach and creative workshops

When you pre-book, it gives us a fighting chance to:

• Plan ahead and avoid cancelling shows due to low sales
• Budget realistically for fair artist pay
• Breathe a little easier (seriously, the stress is real)

Of course, if you can’t commit in advance, we’ll always welcome you on the door. But if you can pre-book it makes the world of difference.
