Man at Sea is a singer-songwriter in the classic sense. Crafting songs at the piano reminiscent of Rufus Wainwright or solo Thom Yorke, this is sophisticated song writing that weaves melody with lyric, taking cues from the great songwriters. His background in theatre is never far away, his songs often telling stories about the strangeness of life and the human condition.
Scarlett Smith is an electroacoustic harpist and comedian. Tired of the harps demure, classical reputation, Scarlett’s debut solo show Any Objections? is a surreal quest to prove this instrument belongs far beyond the Orchestra pit.
The Lost Trades are a Folk/Americana Trio, based in the West Country, with a cool Laurel Canyon vibe. With a sound that is reminiscent of the California folk scene of the late 60s/early 70s, their three part harmonies have been described as "flawless", "spine tingling" and "magical".
