DOUBLE CHRISTMAS SHOW ALERT: Front Room Theatre And the Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol Join Forces For ‘Moulin Scrooge’

We’re thrilled to announce that Front Room Theatre in Weston-super-Mare is joining creative forces with The Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol for our first major co-production ‘Moulin Scrooge’ a brand-new belly-laughing, belly-dancing, mash-up musical comedy Christmas show with big Dickens energy!

Thanks to funding support from Arts Council England, this glorious partnership will see our two vibrant fringe venues combine their talent, resources and local communities to create our biggest Christmas show yet. Moulin Scrooge will bring together artists and young people from both Bristol and Weston-super-Mare to create a fast, smart and adult-only new comedy that promises to be your best Christmas show night out – past, present or yet to come!

We’re especially excited that Moulin Scrooge will have not one but two festive runs: it opens in Bristol this Christmas 2025 and then comes over to Front Room in Weston for Christmas 2026, giving our local audiences the chance to experience this sell-out Christmas cracker right here at Front Room.

This collaboration is more than a show — it’s about building bridges between artists and audiences across our two towns and creating arts jobs for Weston’s local theatre makers. Together we’re championing local talent, offering professional creative opportunities and proving that great theatre belongs everywhere.

Do not fear though, as well as this show, we will also be creating a brand new Christmas show that will be on at Front Room this Christmas following on from the raging successes of our original Christmas show productions; ‘Me, Monster? (2022)’, ‘The Shaggy Dog Tale (2023)’, ‘Yara In The Wild Wood’ and ‘Let There Be Mud’ (2024) created using themes and stories gathered from local residents.
