A FREE workshop subsidised by Papatango Theatre Company and New Writing Prize, with local writer and actor Florence Espeut-Nickless.

The workshop will explore writing a one-person show, through practical exercises and discussions. It will focus on character and place and how we can draw on our own experiences in writing to empower ourselves and others.

The play revolves around the main character Ivan Mazepa, who in his old age finds himself excommunicated and cast out beyond the borders of his homeland due to anathema. Through his own memories, he relives the key moments of his defeats.
