SUMMARY:The Lost Trades
DESCRIPTION:The Lost Trades are a Folk/Americana Trio\, based in the West Country\, with a cool Laurel Canyon vibe. With a sound that is reminiscent of the California folk scene of the late 60s/early 70s\, their three part harmonies have been described as “flawless”\, “spine tingling” and “magical”. \nAfter a global pandemic cut short their first tour after just a single sold out gig\, the band retreated to their songwriting rooms to work on their debut album\, “The Bird\, The Book & The Barrel”. The album was released in June 2021 and was well received\, spending 8 months in the Official UK Folk Albums Chart. The follow up\, “Petrichor” was released in March 2023\, and immediately followed suit\, entering the chart at #31. \nA live performance involves easy interchanging of instruments\, including guitar\, ukulele\, bass and percussion at different points. There’s always a fun intimacy to the show\, with the group engaging in comfortable repartee with each other and the audience like a group of old friends. \n\n\n\nEvent Details\nDoors Open at 7:00PM\nFrom 7:30PM to 9:00PM

SUMMARY:Louis Brennan
DESCRIPTION:London-based Dubliner\, Louis Brennan\, is a singer-songwriter in the folk tradition. His folk however aren’t the field hands and travelling minstrels\nof yore\, but the repressed middle managers and ennui-ridden urbanites of late-stage capitalism. They populate tales of bad sex\, half-drunk\ncommutes and interpersonal claustrophobia delivered in Brennan’s cracked baritone\, at times embarrassingly intimate\, at times spuriously broad\, peppered with pitch-black humour. \nBrennan has supported award-winning artists such as Hannah White and Arborist\, forging a reputation on the roots music circuit as part of a loose collective of some of London’s finest songwriters and musicians\, selling out the iconic Wilton’s music hall as part of a songwriter’s circle and appearing at two sold out shows at London’s Jazz Cafe in tribute to the late\, great John Prine. \n‘A master storyteller with a voice like rolling thunder’ – GQ Magazine\n‘His ability to twist and turn a simple phrase can render the most innocent line into something utterly heartbreaking’ – Clash Magazine\n‘Someone capable of turning the bleak into beautiful and relatable’ –Gigwise\n‘His wry tales manage to make that which is moribund sound full of life’ – R2\n“There are moments in life when a song just stops you. From the very first second to the second it ends\, all you can do is listen\, caught under\nit’s spell. When it feels like the song fills the air around you\, and all you can do is breathe it in” – HOLLER \n\n\nEvent Details\nDoors Open at 7:00PM\nFrom 7:30PM to 9:00PM
