A simple\, powerful moving meditation that anyone – of any age\, size\, or physical ability – can practise. Lightly guided\, there are no steps to follow\, no choreography to learn\, no way to do it wrong. The only requirement is a body that is still breathing\, a heart that is still beating\, and mind that is still curious! \nCreated by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide\, 5Rhythms is a philosophy\, perspective\, performance art and a dynamic movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor\, reaching across all languages\, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art\, art into awareness\, and awareness into action. DESCRIPTION:We are singing every Friday at Front Room.\n\nCome along and join us for our Sing and Smile session – a friendly\, informal sing-a-long\, which brings local people together through music\, laughter and connection.\nThese sessions are all about enjoying music together and sharing a joyful hour in good company. An irresistibly engaging performer\, he combines a latin exuberance and passion with a rare lyrical calibre (he is also an accomplished poet\, with 12 books published to date). Performing on nylon string guitar and accompanied by The Quivering Poets\, he creates a live experience that has been described as ”Taberna Folk” – at once both energetic and intimate\, anarchic and absorbing. \nHe has thrilled audiences across South America\, the USA and Europe\, including recent sets at UK festivals Wilderness\, The Great British Folk Festival and Purbeck Valley Folk Festival\, and has been championed by the likes of BBC 6 Music’s Cerys Matthews\, with his sonorous baritone and poetical lyrics often seeing him compared to such luminary wordsmiths as Leonard Cohen\, Nick Cave and Bill Callahan. \nMoreno’s unique artistic voice lies in the meeting and fusion of different identities.
