A simple\, powerful moving meditation that anyone – of any age\, size\, or physical ability – can practise. Lightly guided\, there are no steps to follow\, no choreography to learn\, no way to do it wrong. The only requirement is a body that is still breathing\, a heart that is still beating\, and mind that is still curious! \nCreated by Gabrielle Roth and practiced by tens of thousands worldwide\, 5Rhythms is a philosophy\, perspective\, performance art and a dynamic movement practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor\, reaching across all languages\, cultures and age groups to transform suffering into art\, art into awareness\, and awareness into action. Wherever the 5Rhythms are practiced\, a community is born to dance\, to sweat\, to change\, to support\, and to provide a safe space for each of us to shatter the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy\, unpredictable\, fascinating\, edge-walking\, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free. \nCreativity. DESCRIPTION:We are singing every Friday at Front Room.\n\nCome along and join us for our Sing and Smile session – a friendly\, informal sing-a-long\, which brings local people together through music\, laughter and connection.\nThese sessions are all about enjoying music together and sharing a joyful hour in good company. DESCRIPTION:An autobiographical story of love\, loss and resilience. \nFaced with the task of clearing his mum’s council flat days after her death\, Kirris sets up a podcast studio in his childhood home\, recording the story of his life before he has to leave for good. \nWeaving memories\, music and fragments from his journal\, he brings to life the experiences that have shaped him\, confronting identity\, grief and the lifelong struggle with systemic racism. \nAt the heart of the show is his fiercely optimistic mum\, whose love\, humour and creativity continue to guide him. \nWith original music\, raw vulnerability and powerful storytelling\, Pieces of My Life is a deeply human exploration of defiance\, family and home. \nWritten and performed by TV and theatre actor Kirris Riviere (Hollyoaks\, The Sandman) and produced by award-winning theatre company Ad Infinitum (Last Rites\, Beautiful Evil Things). \nCONTENT WARNINGS\nContains themes of racism against black people\, racial abuse\, and mental health challenges.
